Only Red Lipstick and Tweed Suit Will Do for a Queen

Of course, gone are the days when royalty goes around sporting their crowns. But, whosoever thought that what would make them beautiful are the very same things that could also make us look nice?

Queen Letizia of Spain chose a red lipstick and her favorite tweed suit skirt for a charity conference. You read that right, favorite. The Duchess of Cambridge isn’t the only royal who recycles.

The 45-year-old mother of two who also is Spain’s Queen, sported a Hugo Boss suit skirt with a ruffled blouse and black patent heels. She made a speech at the World Day of the Red Cross and Red Crescent in Santiago de Compostela, north-west Spain.

To top off her look, and avoid looking boring in her conservative suit, she wore her hair down. For impact, she had a red lipstick on which her ruby earrings picked up.
The former journalist is one of the most influential sartorially savvy royals and here’s proof: Note that if her blazer had a collar, the look would be totally different. It’ll look not only heavy on her tiny frame, but it’ll be too much for the weather. Likewise, unlike many fashionistas who let expensive bags hang on their shoulders, Queen Letizia is holding a clutch bag which didn’t ruin the form of her clothes. You see the clothes and the bag. Not the bag on the clothes. She nails it every time.
If there’s one thing you really need to get now, it’s a collarless blazer. Many aren’t aware of its versatility. It’ll save any woman’s outfit when it’s a bit too warm for a thick coat but not warm enough for bare arms. Wear it to work and wear it for a smart weekend.
