Queen Maxima Nearly Hit

In a blue midi dress, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands had to duck to avoid getting knocked out by a man who was delivering traditional lunches on a large platform in Mumbai.

As part of her work with the UN, and on her final day of visit, she found herself in the way of world-renowned men, the Dabbawallas (tiffin-box carriers).

Eager to know how the on-time, every time delivery process works, she made sure to include a visit to the dabbawalas who had been delivering lunches everyday in Mumbai for 125 years.

Ever the jubilant queen, Maxima, 47, she is ready with her smile and a laugh after the near collision.

The royal was impeccably turned out as always, complimenting her sensational lacy blue dress with an eye-catching necklace made of blue beads and chunky pearls.
She wore delicate blue earrings and glittering silver bracelets for the daytime function.
On her feet, she donned a sky-high pair of blue platform heels with a peep toe that revealed red nail polish.
She has undertaken the trip to India as the United Nations Secretary-General's Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development.

Queens Can Get Away With Leather Leggings

One of the dangers of royal women leveling with common people is they don’t do enough justice to dress up as members of the monarchy they’re representing. They either look too dowdy for the masses or they look too dowdy to get considered royalty.

Say hello to Queen Letizia. She never is afraid of wearing, of all things, leather pants or leather leggings. Dare to imagine Kate Middleton or Meghan Markle do that.

What’s even more fascinating is this very fashionable royal is already 45 years old.

For the opening of the International Seminar on Language and Journalism in San Millan de la Cogolla on May 29, the former journalist stepped out in leather leggings from Uterque, pink printed coat from Astos Lombardini and Carolina Herrera black pumps. She could look like an off-duty-model but her coat and other polished extras like the patent stilettos and coordinating leather pouch is a sign that she’s more than a celebrity.

This isn’t the first time the monarch dressed up like this. She looked equally chic in April when she paired her leather leggings with a crisp white Massimo Dutti sleeveless blazer and black mules.

Adding some edge to her sophisticated style using leather is one of Letizia’s trademarks. In February 2016, she opted for a trendy zip-front cropped culotte by the same brand while on official business in Madrid. She completed that look with a tailored Hugo Boss button-down, pink Carolina Herrera coat and Magrit lace-up sandals.

The Stunning Ways Queen Maxima Irreplaceably Wears Yellow

Her fashion sense is not that of Crown Princess Mary of Denmark, the Duchess of Cambridge or even that of Queen Letizia of Spain, but Queen Maxima of the Netherlands can wear yellow like no one else.

With her skin color and blond hair, she has the edge over many fashionable royal women. She’s the only one who loves to wear and gets away with yellow. Couple that with her ability to dress up like no one else and you have a queen not looking like any other. She is truly a gem in the Netherland’s crown.

Queen Maxima, on her second day in India, put on a colourful display in a multi-coloured silk dress as she arrived at the Taj Mahal Hotel.

She got an enormous bouquet of roses before local women placed a red dot, called a bindi, on her forehead.

The placing of the red dot made from vermillion between the eyes is part of the traditional Indian welcome to guests and is a 'third eye' in the Hindu religion, to ward off bad luck.

Earlier, she made a bold but happy statement in a canary yellow.

The Queen of the Netherlands stepped out in a bright silk wrap around skirt and tan-colored top as she visited the Cricket Factory in Meerut, Uttar Pradesh.

A stickler for coordination, Maxima, 47, accessorized with a pair of oversized earrings and peep-toe sandals.

She joined staff at the factory and saw how they manufactured cricket balls and bats in a traditional fashion.

The wife of King Willem-Alexander got presented a bat and ball to take away and the delighted monarch posed with her gifts.

The Argentinian-born royal spent time speaking to the women crafting traditional cricket balls.

Following her tour of the factory, the monarch didn’t forget the public who lined the streets.

Queen Maxima Shows Us How to Wrap

With royal women’s commitment to pay homage to the country they’re visiting, Queen Maxima of the Netherlands didn’t mind adding another layer in the form of a pashmina to her elegant baby blue sleeveless dress for her meeting in Delhi.

With temperatures reaching the high 40s, she wrapped herself up in a chic patterned pashmina the moment she sat for her UN meeting on May 28.

Queen Maxima had bangles on, a belt and silver pumps. She swept her golden tresses into a low chignon for her UN meeting. She arrived ready for the meeting with her notebooks.
The Dutch Queen visited the local coordinator and representative of the UN, Yuri Afanasiev.

She is visiting India at the invitation of the government and in her role as special advocate of the Secretary-General of the United Nations for inclusive financing for development.

The Dutch royal is a UN Secretary General’s Special Advocate for Inclusive Finance for Development and Honorary Patron of the G20 Global Partnership for Financial Inclusion.

She got appointed to the role in 2009. With this, she advises the Secretary-General and works worldwide to make financial services accessible to all, including low-income groups.

Later that same day, Maxima met with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi for state discussions.

Instead of having an outfit change, she added and elegant topaz and diamond brooch for her outfit in honor of this meeting wherein they talked about global development finance.

Sporty and Fashionable Princess Charlene on the Racetrack

Princess Charlene of Monaco shows how a princess should look like at a day at the racetrack.

Sporting a leather bomber jacket, the 40-year-old mother of twins also wore a form-fitting white shirt and black skinny jeans, with white sneakers.

Her blonde bangs were brushed to the side of her face. She added color to her look with a cherry red lipstick. The only sign she’s a royal were the diamond studs in her ears.

The royal family went to the racetrack for the upcoming Monaco Grand Prix on May 27.

Not about to let her get away as the only fashionable one are her twins, Prince Jacques and Princess Gabriella, who both wore Mercedes-AMG Petronas Motorsport 2018 T-shirts, jeans and child-size Ray-Ban black sunglasses.

Prince Albert, 60, chose a more business-casual attire, sporting a navy blazer over a crisp white button-down shirt and khaki pants.
