Sure. Her voluminous floral skirt to welcome the Ukrainian president and first lady to Madrid with King Felipe stole the show, but it’s her ability to pull off a t-shirt with a skirt that’s just basically wonderful. This isn’t the first time she did this. It’s her trademark look.
Depending on where you are, Queen Consort Letizia of Spain’s simple navy short-sleeved top may get called a jumper. But what really matters is no one can deny it’s the effect of her overall outfit that really made her stand out.
It’s definitely an informal ensemble for a lunch with the Ukrainian president, Petro Poroshenko and his wife, Maryna Poroshenko on June 4 at the Zarzuela Palace.
Queen Letizia wore her fitted navy top tucked into an A-line maxi skirt with a wide coordinating belt. Letizia, who is mother to Princesses Leonor, 12, and Sofia, 10, completed the ensemble with a pair of navy blue pumps and a bouncy blow dry.
Very summer-appropriate, the floral-printed and structured midi skirt from Adolfo Dominguez can get worn on formal occasions. However, add a utility-style belt like what she did and you give it a modern twist.
Meanwhile her husband King Felipe, 50, put on a dapper display in a pinstripe suit and blue tie.
They were joined by Ukrainian President, Petro Poroshenko, 52, who is on an official visit to Spain.
His wife Maryna Poroshenko upped the glamour in a fitted black dress with statement shoulder pads, accessorizing with a drop necklace and heeled pumps.
