The present and future of Danish Monarchy |
Princess Ingrid Alexandra of Norway, 14, is joined by her grandmother Queen Sonja, 80, as she unveils a work of art in the Princess Ingrid Alexandra Sculpture Park in Oslo in her honor on June 8.
Demonstrating the poise and grace befitting a future queen, she had the perfect practice for a lifetime of royal duties.
Ingrid Alexandra is the eldest child of Crown Prince Haakon, 44, heir to the Norwegian throne, and his wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit, 44
Ingrid Alexandra sported a bubblegum-pink dress and white plimsolls, wearing her brunette hair in curls around her shoulders.
Granddaughter and grandmother waved to the crowds as they made their way through. The pair linked arms and chatted easily to each other throughout the engagement.
The princess' pale pink dress perfectly complimented her grandmother's sherbet blue jacket.
Princess Ingrid Alexandra was at ease when it was time for her to remove the blue sheet covering the sculpture, smiling for the cameras as she did so.
The princess was just 12 years old when she opened the sculpture park, in the grounds of the Royal Palace.
Ingrid Alexander is the older sister of 12-year-old Prince Sverre Magnus.
Her mother Mette-Marit also has another son, Marius Borg Høiby, 21, from a previous relationship.
Ingrid Alexandra is expected to one day become Norway's second female monarch, after the 15th-century Queen Margaret.
